Festive dining at 40,000 feet: Emirates elevates Eid Al Adha experience across cabins
Regional flavours and desserts served across all cabin classes
DUBAI – Emirates is marking Eid Al Adha from 26 to 29 May with a festive inflight experience designed to reflect regional culinary traditions and cultural storytelling at altitude.
Across selected routes, passengers in all cabin classes will be treated to specially curated menus inspired by Middle Eastern and regional cuisines.
The airline is also extending its celebration through themed desserts, onboard giveaways, and enhanced entertainment options. The initiative reflects Emirates’ continued focus on elevating seasonal travel experiences for its global customer base.
Eid flavours
In First Class, customers will be served an indulgent selection of dishes including lamb machbous, prawn morbian, lamb madfoon, and beef foga braised in Emirati spices. Desserts feature pistachio and chocolate nammoura cake, white chocolate and rahash mousse cake, and warm walnut baklawa cake.
Business Class and Premium Economy passengers will enjoy lamb chermoula, grilled chicken, and other festive mains, followed by Middle Eastern-inspired desserts.
In Economy Class, offerings include chicken kabsa, lamb ouzi, daoud basha, and beef sajiyeh, concluding with pistachio and coffee cakes.
Across all cabins, specially prepared edible giveaways will be distributed, such as orange blondie, date cheesecake, and rose-infused cakes paired with pistachio and walnut flavours.
Sweet gestures
Passengers travelling on the iconic Airbus A380 will experience additional seasonal treats served throughout the Eid period. These include assorted baklawa, pistachio maamoul, pomegranate cheesecake, sesame brownie, and loomi and strawberry profiteroles. Traditional Emirati coffee and dates will also be offered in the onboard lounge, reinforcing the spirit of hospitality associated with the occasion.
Sky entertainment
The celebration extends beyond dining, with Emirates offering up to 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment on its ice system.
The selection includes Arabic films such as 6 Ayyam, Daye, and BAAB, along with productions by Emirati director Nayla Al Khaja. Customers can also access over 70 Arabic films, more than 70 Arabic TV channels, Turkish series dubbed in Arabic, and Hollywood titles with Arabic subtitles.
The platform further includes Arabic classics, plays, over 500 music channels, podcasts, audiobooks, and religious content including The Holy Qur’an, creating a comprehensive inflight cultural library for Eid travellers.
